Going out in the cold has never been so much fun! Throw your Threshold Club Sports t-shirt over a sweatshirt, grab a winter hat and head outdoors.

How Does It Work?

It's 8 on 8, 5 men and 3 women on the field at all times. It's no contact, 2-hand touch football. And we keep it exciting for everyone on the team through our four divisions (Players, Sorta Players, Casual and Extremely Casual) and our female as a primary player rule (see Rules below).

What's the Cost and What's Included?

Early/regular registration will open October 29 and close November 9/November 26 or earlier if the league sells out. We wish we had room for everyone but alas, that's NYC. The cost is $975/$1075 per team or $95/$105 per individual.

Fee includes:

6 regular season games
One head referee/game
50% of the teams will qualify for the heart-wrenching single elimination playoff tournament
One t-shirt per person on the roster
Field fees
Equipment
"Prize Money" from our sponsors donated to the winning team's charity of choice
League administration
Organized Happy Hours at local bars after the games

When Does It Start? & Where Are We Playing?

The season starts the weekend of January 5th and runs through late February.
Games will take place on Weekends (Mostly Saturday). One game per weekend. Your division does not determine which day you play.
Game times are between 12:00pm and 4:00pm
Games will be played on turf fields in Manhattan. Because the amount of field space we have at each field varies we try and give all teams an even amount of games at each location.

What Are the Rules?

This is a fun, recreational touch football league, so we want everyone to play, stay involved and stay safe. The key rules are: 8 on 8, 5 men and 3 women on the field at all times
No contact, 2-hand touch
A woman must be a Primary Player on a play within 3 consecutive plays
Scoring - 6 points for touchdown and your decision for 1 or 2-point conversion. (After the game, the team that has the most fun wins)

Levels of Play

Players Division - Think you're a jock? This division will be competitive, but still fun.
Sorta Players - Pretty good athletes, maybe played together before, but still social.
Casual Division - Played before? Not a bad athlete? This is the happy middle ground.
Extremely Casual Division - this is the pure fun division. It's for you if you're looking more for the social than the competition or consider yourself a beginner at the organized game.

Threshold Club Sports will try to accommodate all team and individual player requests for Division, but cannot guarantee all requests. We will not place a team or player more than 1 division (above or below) their original request.
